The IPA Excellence in News and Advertising contests are closed.

The contest is open to Illinois Press Association dues-paying regular members and digital members.   

Winners will be announced via email after judging is complete, excluding placement, general excellence, and sweepstakes. Placements, General excellence, and sweepstakes winners will be announced at the Illinois Press Annual Convention at the Par-A-Dice Hotel & Casino in East Peoria, on June 4, 2026.

The contest deadline has been extended to Friday, Feb. 6 at midnight. 

Contest entries are currently $12.00.  Anything submitted after Jan. 31 will be rated at $15.00 per entry.   

All entries must have been published within the calendar year Jan. 1, 2025 – Dec. 31, 2025.
